How this practice works

How the Practice Works

Each week you will receive a short audio reflection and an invitation to move through the journal at your own pace.

Participants typically spend:

  • 20–45 minutes per week

There are no assignments, deadlines, or expectations to share.

The rhythm of the practice includes:

  • A short weekly audio reflection

  • Journaling and reflection prompts

  • An optional embodiment invitation

  • Three optional live gatherings during the eight weeks

The intention is to create a gentle structure for engaging your own story.

Live Gatherings

Live Reflection Gatherings

There will be three optional live sessions during the practice.

These gatherings are spaces for grounding, reflection, and collective witnessing.

Sharing is always optional.

Suggested schedule:

• Live Gathering 1 — June 13
• Live Gathering 2 — June 27
• Live Gathering 3 — July 11

Participants who cannot attend may still fully engage with the practice.

Why I created this practice

When I began writing the Soul Story Journal, I imagined it as something people would live with slowly.

Over time, readers began asking how they might move through the journal with more structure and reflection.

The Soul Story Practice grew from those conversations.

It’s a simple rhythm for people who want to sit with their stories—without pressure, performance, or the need to share more than they wish.

Is this practice for you?

This practice may resonate with people who:

• Enjoy journaling and reflective writing
• Want a gentle structure for engaging the Soul Story Journal
• Appreciate moving slowly and intentionally
• Are curious about storytelling as a way of understanding their lives

This practice may not be the right fit if you:

• are looking for therapy or clinical treatment
• want weekly facilitated group discussion
• prefer fast-paced courses with assignments

IMPORTANT NOTE

While this practice is guided by a licensed therapist, it is not therapy and does not replace mental health treatment.

Participants are responsible for their own care and pacing during the practice.

If difficult emotions arise, participants are encouraged to pause and reach out to trusted supports or professional resources.
